As Ben talks with Han and relives their last moments together, he utters a line from The Force Awakens: "I know what I have to do, but I don't know if I have the strength to do it." It's pretty apropos given what Rey will learn about her own family history later in the movie. Later in The Rise of Skywalker, it's established that Leia Organa isn't just Force-sensitive thanks to her Skywalker lineage--she actually trained with her brother Luke toward becoming a full Jedi, or nearly one. But by the end of that film, Luke was a different person, someone who had rediscovered what it meant to be a hero, without having to actually pick up a weapon again. Not the only animated series cameo by a long shot! In the yellow text of the prologue, phrases like “a threat of REVENGE” conjure not just Revenge of the Sith but George Lucas’ original title for Return of the Jedi, until he decided Jedi were too good to seek retribution.
