You are a son or daughter of the Most High

I invite you to join me in a practice this week of re-identifying who you are. We’ve heard it said, all of us, a hundred times if not a thousand times, that we’re children of God, that we’re sons or daughters of god, we’re sons or daughters of the Most High. But, we tend to still believe that we are our ego. We believe that we are our personality. 

So this week, imagine what it is like to change your identity. Much like when we marry, get baptized, or have a child; we change identity. Before you were one thing you were something else. Before you were single and now you’re married or before you were married and now you’re single. You change your identity. You actually change your identity by your practice of relating to yourself and your world in a new way.
 
How about we have a little ceremony right now, I will relate to my world as a son or a daughter of God. Not my personality, not my story, not what’s in my bank account or how my body looks. I am a son or daughter of the living God, the Most High. There is genius indwelling me. There is goodness that is just innately in me as part of my nature. There is wisdom and grace and power. I walk this week as the beloved son or daughter of God I am.
