God by any name is the Presense and Power

Once as I was leaving the Cairo airport a man who worked for immigration stopped me. He was sitting there in his uniform while holding his AK-47.

He looked at my passport and asked “Your name is Mary?”
I said "Yes."
He asked, “Are you a Christian?”
I answered, “Well yes I am.”
Then he shuddered and gave me a very kind of horrible looking face.
I said “Oh but I am a Christian who loves Allah.”
He looked at me and he asked “Christian's can love Allah?”
I said “Oh yes, everyone can love the different names for God for there is only one God.”
 
So today whatever way is our way of worshiping, let's have some worship. Let's remember that there is one Presence and one Power by many names; a diamond with many facets whose name isn't so important as simply that we find the experience of the Presence. No matter what name, God is here.
