Light the whole world with love

We can be in the presence of love and present love that changes our lives and our world

Hafiz, the poet, is just a delightful Persian poet. I want to share with you one of his poems today about how it is we can be in the presence of a love and present love that absolutely changes our lives and our world.

He says, “Even after all of this time, the sun never says to the earth, you owe me. Look what happens with a love like that. It lights the whole world.”
 
So today when we’re tempted to withhold love because someone owes us, which is very human, we remember the sun. If some situation hasn’t been fruitful enough and we want to hold back, we remember that the sun never says you owe me. Even after all this time.
 
We’re reminded about what happens with a love like that; it lights the whole world. There’s no better way to have a miracle this day than to light the whole world with love.
