Thoughts of God can bless your entire day

I love reading Hafiz, the Persian poet from the 13th century who had this great love affair with God, the beloved, the friend. He writes, “Hafiz, why carry a whole load of books upon your back climbing this mountain when tonight, just a few thoughts of God will light the holy fire. Why try to do this under your own power when just a few thoughts of God will lift you up entirely.”

So today we find that one of the easiest ways to have access to that lifting up is gratitude. Why carry the whole load of books climbing this mountain when just a few thoughts of God, that’s what we’re doing right now, may extend and bless you throughout your entire day.
