Get in the right spot

Have you ever noticed that sometimes, like at the Academy Awards or a movie premier, the commentators and news people will say, “Oh, she was so beautiful,” or, “Didn't he look handsome?” Those are accurate kinds of statements about external things but what about the more ambiguous kinds of beauty?

Have you ever noticed whenever someone is really in their right spot that they are the most radiant? For example, a mother who’s holding her baby, or someone cooking a meal and doing so lovingly, or a father playing ball with his son. These are moments when we are really in our right spot. If we’re paying attention, what might rise up in us is “Isn’t that beautiful. Aren’t they beautiful?”

There is a radiance to the kind of beauty that comes with being in our right spot.
So today pay attention to where you really feel, all the way through with all the many parts of yourself, with the role you’re playing, and the actions you’re taking, that you are in the right spot with the love you’re giving. There will be a radiance which is the love and the beauty of God.

This beauty is our job, our opportunity, and our gift to bring into the world this day. This is the right spot. It can be right where you are. You really are beautiful.
