What is love really?

Love is actually a verb

Have you ever wondered what love really is?

Well certainly we sense love with a feeling, a growing--often we consider it a warming, filling feeling; an expansive feeling. But I read once, a long time ago, that love is actually a verb. Love is behavior. Love is the way we show up, the things we do, the way we speak, the way we treat one another.

Today let us each decide that we are going to expand love in our lives by the way we express love every single moment. If we were to do that it might mean that we would call somebody that we love and haven't spoken to for a while and let them know that we really care about them. We are interested in them. It might mean that we would leave a note of surprise for a friend or a beloved. It might mean that we would write a thank you note or a letter of gratitude to somebody we care about or that has done something that has gone perhaps unnoticed but not unfelt.

So let's just decide we want more love in the world today. Let’s, each one of us, find a different way than we normally would to let our behavior express that we really do love.

Many Blessings,
Mary
