Purpose

When I was in Jamaica speaking for the Temple of Light church I sat with an amazing woman who perfectly demonstrated stepping into her calling. The woman, who started 25 years prior doing this work, was presently 82 years old. She spoke about the difficulty in this particular culture of being a woman and saying yes to her calling in the world. After 25 years, it was clear that many people had been touched by her work. So many people had been touched by her willingness to say yes to what was in front of her. It was really her calling to do.

Today is a day where we can practice a deeper listening. We can cultivate the art of deep listening in which we just lean towards the world in love. All things in the universe want to be heard as do the many voices inside of us. So to be true to ourselves means we listen to all the different parts of ourselves because every part of ourselves has only one thing in mind and that is our fulfillment and completion of our purpose.
