Gratitude

Invoke gratitude

In reading Wallace Wattles book on gratitude there is a sentence in there that just struck me and I wanted to share it with you today.

An attitude of gratitude

The spirit of gratitude is one aspect of the nature of God. Each one of us is endowed with the qualities of God so we have an aspect of us that can truly be in thanksgiving and truly be in gratitude. We feel that feeling more naturally, more powerfully, more potently when we become the portal through which God’s love, power, action, wisdom is given unto the earth.

Join me in gratitude and blessings

I love reading Hafiz, the Persian poet from the 13th century who had this great love affair with God, the beloved, the friend. He writes, “Hafiz, why carry a whole load of books upon your back climbing this mountain when tonight, just a few thoughts of God will light the holy fire. Why try to do this under your own power when just a few thoughts of God will lift you up entirely.”

Share your gratitude

There is some recent research out of Harvard that tells us something fascinating about gratitude. The study found that energies of gratitude, as we think gratitude and as we feel gratitude, it raises our immune system. It makes our immune system much more potent. It makes us able to keep ourselves in a healthy state. No matter what we’re around, it is almost as if a bubble of protection is around us. It is not something we can manufacture by pretending, but it is something we can create by entering into a field of gratitude.

Let us practice moving into gratitude

Have you ever thought about the difference between the state called being glad and the state called being grateful? You know glad is a really happy feeling. Glad is just a sense of appreciation about something that is. But grateful is a much higher vibration, a much deeper resonance. So let us practice this week moving into gratitude.

The Gift of Life

There is a teaching story about a group of scientists who having discovered the secrets of cloning decided they would have a conference with God to tell God, God was no longer needed. Yes, God had created humanity and all of life, in fact, from the very dust of the earth. But now science had taken over the job and God could retire. So the top scientists in the world gathered together and they called God to a conference having told God, He/She was no longer required.
